Divorce? There’s an App for ThatJuly 2, 2013 – In The News
Eric Solotoff and Eliana Baer were featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal article "Divorce? There’s an App for That." While the full text can be found in the July 2, 2013, issue of Philadelphia Business Journal, a synopsis is noted below.
Fox Rothschild has launched a free New Jersey divorce app to provide resources throughout the divorce process. Eric Solotoff credited the idea to associate attorney Eliana Baer.
The firm’s New Jersey family law blog, started in 2008, has been one of the most successful for the firm, getting as many as 15,000 views per month. “I think we got a good response from it because people are now finding lawyers from alternative means,” Solotoff said. “I also think people getting divorced don’t want to talk to others about it so they go online for information. And they don’t want to ask their family lawyer or accountant for a recommendation for a lawyer, because those people are probably also friendly with the spouse.”
According to Solotoff the app was created for a minimal cost, “So even if we don’t get one case from this, we’re not losing anything and we are furthering our brand. But if we get just one case from this, it will more than pay for itself.”
The apps features include:
- A searchable notes section;
- A finance tracker;
- An asset identifier;
- Information on various divorce topics; and
- A resource center with links to helpful sites.
