2010 Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) Continuing Education Seminar
Richard Caputo spoke at the Fiduciary Education Foundation’s 2010 Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) Continuing Education Seminar on “Using Charitable Trusts in Estate Planning—Traps for the Unwary & Charitable Trust Administration.” The event was held at the Harrisburg Hilton on May 26-28.
He provided attendees with case studies that explored various wills and the problems associated with each. Caputo then addressed, one by one, these issues detailing best practices in resolution. He also expounded on charitable trust administration and the common errors that could result in a surcharge. Caputo offered insight on what a charitable trust was, income tax compliance issues and how to avoid them, among other points of interest.
