An Interactive Discussion on Specific Aspects of the “Meaningful Use” Proposal and How It Might Affect New Jersey Hospitals

February 25, 2010
HFMA and Fox Rothschild LLP

12 to 1:30 p.m.

Join the New Jersey Chapter of HFMA and Fox Rothschild LLP for an interactive discussion.

Now is the time to assess the potential impact of the "meaningful use" proposal on New Jersey hospitals!

The New Jersey Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) is preparing comments to CMS on these regulations and values your input on specific aspects of the proposal, such as qualifications for incentive payments, the practical aspects of implementation and the potential obstacles of complying with the "meaningful use" standards proposed.

This discussion will feature New Jersey HFMA leadership providing their thoughts on:

  • "Meaningful use" requirements for EHR incentive payments
  • CMS' definition of hospital-based physicians and charity care and how the current standards affect eligibility for incentive payments
  • The exclusion of outpatient hospital services from incentive payment calculation

There will be sufficient time during the discussion to raise questions and provide comments to the meeting facilitators.
