Closing Time on Overtime

Working more than 40 hours a week is often a given for restaurant employees, but, until recently, only a small portion of employees have been entitled to overtime compensation. That’s all about to change.

Due to changes made by the U.S. Department of Labor, the minimum salary for employees to qualify for overtime exemption is being drastically increased. This new legislation means that a significant number of your employees (especially mid-level managers) must now receive overtime pay.
