Fundamentals of Indian Law
Noon – 1 pm ET | 9 – 10 am PT
Indian Law is the body of law under federal statutes and common law that governs the relationship between the federal government, the states and Native American tribes. Indian Law can pose unique legal issues that can often be difficult to identify and resolve.
Join Maureen L. Mitchell and Harry S. Jackson III for a discussion of the unique sovereign status of Native American tribes, how tribal enterprises are formed and operated, and insight on unravelling the complex jurisdictional issues that are commonly encountered in commercial settings. Focusing on civil matters, this webinar will give practical guidance for contracting when tribal entities are involved as it impacts taxation, employment, insurance and tort liability.
This program will take place as an interactive live webinar. It will not be broadcast in any Fox Rothschild office.
