New Jersey Hospital Association Workshop on Updating Hospital Privacy and Security Programs

Guest Speaker Michael Kline, Fox Rothschild Partner and General Counsel to Deborah Heart and Lung Center and Deborah Hospital Foundation, will address the new regulations against a backdrop of associated governance issues from a nonprofit corporation perspective.

The one-day educational workshop will focus on the requirements of the new Red Flag Rules, the New Jersey Identity Theft Prevention Act, and the federal HITECH Act's changes to HIPAA and its related Privacy and Security Rules. The requirements of the new laws, their impact to New Jersey health care organizations and what steps can be taken to become compliant will be discussed. Oscislawski is widely recognized for her experience with and understanding of laws affecting the use and disclosure of health information and was appointed by Governor Corzine to the New Jersey Health Information Technology Commission to sit as a member with "demonstrated expertise in privacy [and security] laws."
