Since the COVID-19 pandemic was first identified as a public health emergency in the U.S. on January 31, 2020, there have been sometimes daily governmental changes and considerations for healthcare providers to identify, analyze, and address. Susan M. Fradenburg, a Partner at Fox Rothschild and long-time CSHSMD friend and collaborator, has over 20 years’ experience representing clients in the health care industry. Focusing on long term care providers and hospitals, Susan has assisted health care providers in navigating the different statutory and regulatory challenges specific to health care providers. Negotiating with State and Federal entities, Susan has helped clients obtain licenses and certifications, remove denial of payment for new admission penalties, and avoid termination from the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Susan has argued Certificate of Need matters at the North Carolina Court of Appeals and a reimbursement issue at the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. She also appears in both Federal and State Administrative Courts challenging penalty appeals.
Susan received her Juris Doctor from the Wake Forest University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts with highest distinction in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Kansas.
