New I-9 Form Released: What Every Employer Needs To Know
On November 14, 2016, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services released a new revised version of Form I-9, which, effective January 22, 2017, will be the only version acceptable for use.
All U.S. employers are required to complete a Form I-9 for every employee hired in order to verify the individual is authorized for employment in the United States under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
