Remote ID Rule: Approaching the Endgame
On Dec. 31, 2019, the FAA released its Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for the Remote Identification of Unmanned Aircraft. After years of waiting, the time had finally come for the public to make its voice heard on this key issue. On March 2, 2020, the comment period will close and we will know what the public really thinks. Remote identification of unmanned aircraft is the cornerstone upon which will be built the full integration of unmanned aircraft into the national airspace system. In this complimentary webinar, we will highlight some of the thousands of comments that were submitted and analyze whether the public believes the FAA has hit the “Goldilocks solution:” Not too hard, not too soft, but just right. Topics will include:
As always, members of Fox Rothschild’s Aviation team will provide their candid opinions, critical analysis of the issues and “crystal ball” view of the future, with opportunities for the audience to ask questions.
