Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce that Gregory B. Williams will be honored by the Delaware Barristers Association (DBA) for his exemplary leadership, commitment and contributions to the community and legal profession.
Williams will be honored at the DBA’s sixth Annual Louis L. Redding Benefit and Awards Gala on October 27. The celebration will laud distinguished members of Delaware’s government, bar and community for their work, contributions and commitment to liberty and justice for all.
Dedicated to the advancement of the legal community, Williams formerly served as President of the Delaware State Bar Association. He is a member of the Attorney Advisory Committee for the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, serves on the Court’s Local Rules Committee, which works with the Court to revise the Local Rules, and is a former co-chair of its Technology Committee.
Williams is a former Co-Chair and member of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the State of Delaware, having been appointed by Governor Jack Markell. Additionally, he previously served as Chair of the U.S. Magistrate Judge Merit Selection Panel, which investigates and interviews candidates for vacant U.S. Magistrate Judge positions.
Williams, a former office managing partner of Fox’s Wilmington office and the first African-American to serve in that role and on the firm’s Executive Committee, has a diverse practice involving commercial, intellectual property and other business litigation for a wide range of corporate clients, including technology companies, manufacturers, financial institutions, energy companies, health care companies, retailers, government entities, colleges and universities and faith-based organizations.
The DBA, a nonprofit bar association founded in 1993, promotes professional and social interaction among the members of the Delaware legal community. The association works to uphold the principles of justice in every phase of American life.
