Fox IP Group Recognized in IAM Patent 1000

For the fifth consecutive year, attorneys in Fox Rothschild’s Intellectual Property Department are featured in the “IAM Patent 1000,” an annual guide by Intellectual Asset Management that identifies the top patent practitioners in key jurisdictions around the globe.

The IAM Patent 1000 guide is compiled through extensive research and interviews with attorneys and in-house counsel around the world.

Fox’s Intellectual Property Department, comprised of more than 100 professionals nationwide, includes more than a dozen who hold doctoral degrees in the sciences and engineering, as well as former U.S. Patent and Trademark Office examiners, former university and industry researchers and former in-house attorneys and corporate engineers.

Fox IP Department Chair James M. Singer, who is based in the firm's Pittsburgh office, is noted for providing "practical advice that enables important business decisions to be made with confidence” as well as someone who is “highly thoughtful about efficiency and is very cost effective.”

Featured in the New York guide is Dianna G. El Hioum, who is noted as "a well-connected, broad-minded counselor." Janet M. MacLeod, Ph.D. is highlighted for her "utmost professionalism and attention to detail" and producing "high quality work quickly.” The guide also notes Deborah A. Somerville for taking notice of "subtle shifts in the marketplace" and designing "clever strategies to help patrons exploit them."

A team of attorneys based in the firm's Princeton office were recognized in the guide as "highly strategic life sciences practitioners" with "deep industrial and academic scientific experience."
