Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Jianming Jimmy Hao, Ph.D., who was named to the New Jersey Law Journal’s list of Diverse Attorneys of the Year.
This award recognizes attorneys who “share a passion for and commitment to the law and advancing the legal profession.”
Based in the firm’s Princeton, NJ office, Dr. Hao is a patent lawyer and molecular biologist who helps shape multibillion-dollar biopharma deals and assists Nobel laureates and other leading scientists in securing protection for their most valuable ideas. His reputation in patent management, having authored more than 300 patent applications, has helped facilitate a number of industry transactions, acquisitions and IP transfers that, in the aggregate, exceed $10 billion.
Beyond his intellectual property practice, Dr. Hao is a community and business leader who works with major nonprofit organizations to deepen Chinese-American cultural ties in wide-reaching professional and educational circles. In 2016, he led initiatives to organize and form BioKatalyst, a nonprofit organization that seeks to establish a global platform for networking, professional advancement and business growth for biopharma leaders with Chinese heritage who face challenges as minorities in their respective countries.
Dr. Hao served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Huaxia Chinese School, a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching Mandarin and Chinese culture, where he oversaw key operations that extend to 22 branch schools serving more than 7,000 students in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. He also served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Huaxia Chinese School at Plainsboro, a branch school of the larger Huaxia network.
He earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School, his Ph.D., with distinction, in Molecular and Cell Biology from Columbia University, his M.B.A. from Cornell University and his B.S., with high honors, from Nankai University.
