Drawing upon its deep reservoir of Israeli relationships, clients, and legal/business interests, Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce the expansion of its Israel Practice Group.

Led by a team of attorneys with strong connections to U.S./Israeli initiatives, and an extensive background and proficiency in U.S./Israeli cross border transactions, this practice offers innovation, experience, and vast resources to its Israeli clients, ranging from start-up ventures to market-leading public companies, and provides comprehensive representation for Israeli-related business transactions, including corporate finance, real estate, banking, litigation, Intellectual Property, Bankruptcy/insolvency and inbound or outbound fund-raising activities and other investment opportunities.

Leading this charge at Fox are LA-based partner Mark Hess and San Francisco-based partner Michael Sweet.

Fox attorneys have experience advising institutional investors and some of Israel’s largest public companies in acquiring, selling, developing, managing and marketing virtually any type of U.S. real estate project. Currently, the team is working with a United States investor on a transaction through which it would acquire a significant Israeli holding company. The team has litigated in state, federal and international forums on behalf of Israeli clients.

Hess, who counsels in employee benefits and executive compensation and splits his time between the United States and Israel said, “We are able to provide pivotal support including real estate, finance and related litigation for Israeli-related business transactions that involve a variety of industries, such as biotechnology and life sciences, financial services, information technology, import/export, defense, manufacturing, health care and entertainment.”

“Our team includes attorneys resident in both Israel and the United States and who speak fluent Hebrew. We have strong contacts with Israeli diplomats posted in the United States, and our members are also active in such organizations as the Southern California Israel Chamber of Commerce, American-Israeli Medical Association and The Israel Conference™, which works with technology and innovation emanating from Israel-based companies in the med-tech, bio-tech or high-tech areas. In addition, the team has ties with the Israeli Consulate in various cities,” said Sweet.

Throughout the firm’s national network of offices, Fox attorneys have represented more than 650 foreign companies looking to do business in the United States or needing U.S. representation and nearly 350 U.S.-based companies requiring assistance in conducting business outside the United States.
