Developer Sues Planning Board Over Parole Office Project
March 3, 2010 – In The NewsAtlantic County Record
Maestro Associates LLC has filed suit against the New Jersey State Parole Board after the board rescinded preliminary and final site plan approvals for a 9,600 square-foot building. The board claimed Maestro did not let the board know the building would house a parole office.
Jack Plackter, who represents Maestro, said his client relied on township approvals to begin the project and had spent more than $1.9 million already.
Plackter filed a five-count complaint on behalf of Maestro asking for all approvals to be reinstated, stating in the complaint the board's actions were "arbitrary, capricious and illegal."
