Jacob focuses his practice on tax law and has advised a wide range of clients, including oil and gas, metallic mining and e-commerce companies.
His experience includes state audit defense, commerce clause nexus, gross receipts sourcing, severance tax implications, sales and use tax implications and successor liability rules in corporate reorganizations and mergers.
Before Fox Rothschild
Prior to joining Fox, Jacob was a state and local tax associate at KPMG. He previously served as a law clerk to Judge Elizabeth Crewson Paris of the U.S. Tax Court in Washington, D.C.
During law school, Jacob was a finalist in the ABA Law Student Tax Challenge, LL.M. Division. He also worked as a student attorney at the University of Denver's Community Economic Development Clinic, where he helped nonprofit organizations meet their transactional needs. As an undergraduate, he played football at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, and studied abroad in London. Jacob also interned for two Wisconsin accounting firms.
