Kate focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions, representing lenders, property owners and developers in the acquisition, disposition, financing and refinancing of commercial properties.
In addition, Kate also works with clients on issues surrounding creditors' rights and bankruptcy.
Before Fox Rothschild
Kate was an associate at Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP, which merged with Fox Rothschild in 2018. She previously clerked for the Honorable J.C. Nicholson, Jr. of the South Carolina Circuit Court and for the Honorable Helen E. Burris of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
While in law school, Kate was associate symposium editor of the Charleston Law Review. She received the Charleston School of Law Civility Award and the CALI Awards in Legal Research, Analysis and Writing and Advanced Civil Procedure. She was also a member of The Forensic Club.
Beyond Fox Rothschild
Kate is a member of the United Way of Greenville County's YP20s and a board member of the Wofford College Terrier Club. She has served since 2017 as committee chair of the Circle of Hearts for the Julie Valentine Center. She was also a committee member of the 2018 Hope Ball Committee for the Greenville Cancer Society and a child life volunteer with Greenville Health System’s Children’s Hospital.
