For companies in the financial services industry – including federal, state and local banks and credit unions as well as finance and mortgage companies, among others – we provide a range of employment-related services. We prepare and help to enforce employment contracts and agreements, including restrictive covenants, as well as handle executive compensation, severance packages and other benefits issues and programs. We provide general employment-related advice as needed on all matters that affect the employer-employee relationship, including accommodation issues, discrimination and retaliation complaints, family and medical leave, downsizing and reductions-in-force, and hiring and termination practices. We also assist with labor and employment strategies related to business restructurings and other transactions between companies in the industry. In addition, we regularly defend financial institutions in federal and state court and in front of federal, state, municipal and self-regulatory agencies for wage and hour violations, discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims as well as employee leave and other workplace issues.
