Even in the digital age, the smooth and efficient movement of people, raw materials and finished products is both a critical component of the global economy and an unavoidably labor-intensive proposition. Our attorneys have broad experience representing employers in all facets of the transportation and logistics industry, including air, rail, trucking, intercity bus and shipping (both ocean and inland); public transit; stevedoring and marine terminal operations; and warehousing and distribution. Our traditional labor law knowledge extends to both nonunion employers and to employers signatory with all of the principal labor organizations active in the industry under both the National Labor Relations Act and the Railway Labor Act. Closely related to this work is our experience with OSHA investigations and wage and hour compliance, including the litigation of issues under the motor carrier exemption. We also regularly represent such clients in the broad spectrum of employment counseling and litigation issues common to all employers.
