Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Maureen L. Mitchell, who was appointed to serve as Co-Chair of the Environmental Litigation and Toxic Torts Committee for the American Bar Association Section of Environment, Energy and Resources. She will serve in the role for the 2020-2021 term.
The Committee covers all aspects of environmental litigation, but focuses on tort actions involving potential exposure to toxic substances. Mitchell will work with the Committee to provide a forum for practitioners to learn and communicate about the latest developments and trends in this rapidly changing field.
At Fox, Mitchell represents clients in environmental litigation and regulatory matters, working with federal and state regulatory agencies in enforcement and compliance matters, as well as on worker health and safety concerns. Specific areas of focus include public lands, mining, redevelopment of contaminated sites and Indian law, including protection of natural resources and treaty rights.
She earned her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law and her B.A. from Smith College.
