Biography

Michael has handled litigation in federal and state courts on a variety of issues, including corporate law, employment harassment and compensation, hospitality, construction, contract disputes, fraud and complex commercial matters. He works with a range of companies and individuals on the formation of business entities and groups and the structuring of business relationships through management, licensing and other agreements.

He has extensive experience representing and advising clients in the hospitality industry, including chefs, hotel groups and commercial real estate owners. Michael works with his clients to create management and licensing agreements and leases, and on the formation of business entities and the drafting of operating agreements. He also has experience representing chefs and hospitality groups in litigation and contract negotiations. 

Michael has worked on numerous commercial and residential real estate transactions and has experience drafting and negotiating purchase agreements; preparing deeds and closing documents; reviewing title issues and policies; and advising on environmental issues. 

Before Fox Rothschild

Prior to joining Fox, Michael was an associate at a Mid-Atlantic law firm. He has firsthand knowledge of the construction industry, having worked for a Philadelphia-area commercial builder as an assistant to the project manager, estimator and laborer. 

During law school, he gained legal experience working as a certified legal intern in the Villanova Civil Justice Clinic where he represented disadvantaged Philadelphia-area clients in family law and Social Security Disability matters. He was a clerk for the Honorable L. Felipe Restrepo in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania and a discovery law clerk in the Philadelphia District Attorney's Office, Juvenile Division.
