Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Benjamin C. Burkhart as a partner in the Corporate and Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Practice groups resident in the New York office.

An experienced transactional attorney with a deep background in corporate law, Burkhart has completed dozens of successful investments and acquisitions for funds, strategic acquirers and emerging companies. He has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, capital markets and investment transactions. His practice centers on emerging companies and the technologies that drive them but also spans the automotive, consumer, hospitality, life sciences and sports sectors.
Burkhart is also well-versed in transactions involving fiber infrastructure and wireless technologies, micro-LED developments, software animation, application indexing and systems and applications essential to the "Internet of Things." He has represented lead investors in dozens of equity financings, including financing rounds involving four of Fortune’s top 20 technology startups on The Unicorn List for 2016, including Uber Technologies, Inc., Airbnb, Inc., Snap Inc. (f/k/a “Snapchat”) and WeWork Companies.
In the pro bono realm, Burkhart represents Food Business Pathways, which provides incubator support and facilities for public housing recipients seeking to establish restaurants, catering and food service businesses.
Burkhart earned his A.B. from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from the University of Southern California. Prior to joining Fox, he was a partner at Lowenstein Sandler LLP.
