Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Carole Simms, who was lauded with the “Outstanding Women in Business Special Achievement Award” by Triad Business Journal.
This inaugural award highlights a “businesswoman whose contributions have left an indelible mark on the Triad.” Simms is noted as a “pioneering attorney with a long record of service to the community, particularly in the areas of education and nonprofits.”
Simms serves on the board of the Joseph M. Bryan Foundation, one of the oldest and most active private charities in the Triad, which supports the economic, cultural, educational and recreational enrichment of the greater Greensboro area. She also serves on the Board of Trustees of Cone Health and has served on the boards of Guilford College and North Carolina A&T State University.
Simms, a partner in the firm’s Greensboro office, has extensive experience with matters relating to individual income tax, estate and inheritance tax, estate administration, charitable organizations and other tax planning matters. She has represented a range of clients, including those in education and nonprofit sectors.
She was previously recognized by the Triad Business Journal among the “Outstanding Women in Business” and the “Most Influential People in the Triad.” She has also been named among the Greensboro News & Record’s “People of Influence” and the Business North Carolina’s “Legal Elite” in Tax/Estate Planning.
She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Wake Forest University and her M.B.A. from Auburn University.
Simms will be honored at the 20th Annual Outstanding Women in Business Awards on April 4.
