May 3, 2019 – Press Releases

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Elizabeth G. Litten, who was recognized by The National Law Journal as a Trailblazer in Health Care Law.

This inaugural list highlights attorneys who have carved new paths to navigate the challenges faced by individuals and businesses in the health care sector.

A pioneer in the health care industry on multiple fronts, Litten most recently drafted federal legislation in conjunction with Recovery Centers of America that aims to vastly improve opioid addiction treatment by establishing the Medicare definitions that drive coverage. She also introduced innovative agreements that aim to incentivize employees with reduced or eliminated co-pays, give self-insured employers bulk discounts and allow providers to secure a reliable stream of patients.

Litten has more than 25 years of experience in the industry. She serves as national and regional counsel to health care-related entities, including hospital systems, health care facilities, regulated and self-funded health plans and health care technology companies.

As Fox’s HIPAA Privacy & Security Officer, she oversees the firm’s handling of client health information and works to protect the confidential and personal information of clients and employees. She regularly advises clients on how to add layers of security to protect private health information, such as email encryption or communicating through an encrypted site.

She earned her J.D. from Rutgers Law School and her B.A. from Vassar College.
