Fox Rothschild LLP welcomes Kathleen R. Barrow as a partner in the Employee Benefits and Compensation Department in Dallas.
“Kathy is a welcome addition to our growing Dallas office,” said Clinton J. David, Fox’s Dallas office managing partner. “She is an astute problem-solver for clients, with a keen understanding of how and when to work with state and federal agencies to resolve payroll and income tax issues employers face with the Treasury Department and with state and local tax authorities.”
With nearly three decades of experience, Barrow works on behalf of national employers across a range of industries, as well as nonprofit organizations, health care providers and school districts, to correct tax and fiduciary issues with payroll, executive compensation and employee benefits. She offers strategic assistance with ERISA matters, compliance programs and corrections of documentation and operational errors.
Barrow has handled cases involving the U.S. Department of Treasury Office of Tax Policy and the U.S. Department of Labor Employee Benefits Security Administration as well as massive payroll corrections involving thousands of employees. She has led representation before the U.S. Tax Court, various U.S. District Courts and Courts of Appeals throughout the country.
She earned her J.D., with honors, from the University of Oklahoma, her M.B.A., with honors, from Oklahoma City University and her B.S., with honors, from Nazareth College.
Prior to joining Fox, Barrow was a partner at Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete LLP.
