Fox Grows in Atlanta With Addition of Labor & Employment Attorney F. Beaumont Howard

May 9, 2019 – Press Releases

Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to announce F. Beaumont Howard has joined the firm in Atlanta as a partner in the Labor & Employment Department.

“Beau has the skills and experience we are seeking as we continue to broaden and deepen the services we provide in Atlanta,” said Julie Theall Earp, Fox’s Atlanta office managing partner. “In addition to his adept handling of labor and employment matters, his insight into internet forensics and privacy law complements the firm’s national privacy and data security practice.”

Howard frequently defends clients against administrative claims before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor, as well as in employment lawsuits in state and federal courts. He handles matters involving Fair Labor Standard Act compliance, development of pay practices and policies and proper classification of independent contractors and employees. He also advises concerning Affordable Care Act compliance, and defends employers when the Internal Revenue Service assesses penalties for noncompliance.

With a particular fluency in privacy law, internet forensics and business litigation, Howard represents clients in claims involving defamation, computer hacking, identity theft and theft of confidential business information and trade secrets.

Fox Rothschild first established an Atlanta presence in 2018 through a merger with Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP. The Atlanta office is home to a team of attorneys who advise clients on corporate, health law, transportation, trusts and estates, litigation, labor and employment and construction law matters.

Howard earned his J.D. from George Washington University and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Tennessee.

Prior to joining Fox, Howard was a partner at Freed Howard LLC in Atlanta.
