Fox Rothschild Elevates Nine Attorneys to Partner

Fox Rothschild LLP recently elevated a number of attorneys throughout its national network of offices to partner: Samuel W. Cortes and Stephanie Nolan Deviney in the firm’s Exton, PA, office; David H. Colvin and Eric E. Reed in the firm’s Philadelphia office; Barry J. Muller in the firm’s Princeton office; and Daniel A. Schnapp in the New York office.

Cortes represents businesses, public and private owners, architects, developers, contractors, subcontractors, manufacturers, professional service providers and lenders in construction and commercial litigation matters, including construction defect cases, claims for property damage and loss, product performance issues and structural defects. He also regularly represents businesses and individuals seeking insurance coverage in insurance coverage disputes. Cortes earned his J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law in 2003 and his B.A. from Boston College in 1999.

Deviney represents contractors and subcontractors in commercial litigation matters, including construction lien claims, mechanic’s liens, bond liens and delay damages. She has successfully litigated claims on behalf of owners of large commercial properties, general contractors and subcontractors specializing in steel erection, HVAC supply and installation and installing synthetic surfaces. Deviney has also defended homebuilders on various claims and represented both mortgagors and mortgagees in foreclosure actions. Deviney is the recipient of the "2010 President's Award" by the Chester County Bar Association and currently serves on the Pennsylvania State University Board of Trustees. She earned her J.D. from Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in 1997 and her B.A. from University of Richmond in 1994.

Colvin was named one of the leading commercial litigation attorneys in Pennsylvania by Chambers USA in 2010. He focuses his practice on all aspects of business-related litigation, including contractual disputes, civil RICO, unfair business practices, misappropriation of trade secrets, intellectual property matters and alternative dispute resolution. Colvin also represents clients in the area of legal ethics and professional responsibility. He earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and his B.A. from Kenyon College.

Reed is a member of the firm’s Litigation, White-Collar Criminal Defense & Regulatory Compliance and Securities Industry practice groups. He represents businesses in the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, financial services and other sectors in a wide range of disputes, such as contract matters, bankruptcy litigation, and copyright, trademark and patent infringement actions. He also represents clients in administrative and criminal compliance matters. Reed volunteers his legal services to the Committee of Seventy's election oversight efforts and provides pro bono representation to military veterans seeking benefits. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 2001 and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Alma College in 1998.

Muller represents clients, including private and public corporations, national insurance companies, health care providers, municipalities, privately held businesses and individuals, in complex commercial litigation, professional, lender and general liability and insurance issues. He has also successfully represented attorneys, accountants and other professionals in complex malpractice and breach of contract actions. He has appeared in numerous state and federal courts throughout the country and has handled arbitrations with the American Arbitration Association and JAMS. Muller earned his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1998 and his B.S. in Accounting from University of Scranton in 1995. He is a former New Jersey Superior Court law clerk and a graduate of the Justice Morris Pashman American Inn of Court. He holds a Martindale-Hubbell "AV" Peer Review Rating and regularly contributes to Fox’s New Jersey Litigation Blog.
