Fox Rothschild Hosts Mock Trial for Associates

June 4, 2012 – Press Releases

As the culmination of the firm’s year-long Litigation Department Training Program, Fox Rothschild LLP recently held a two-day Mock Trial for 62 associates in the firm’s Labor and Employment, Litigation and Intellectual Property Departments.

The attorneys worked on a case provided by the National Institute for Trial Advocacy suited to train associates in the liability and damages phases of civil actions. The case, Cranbrooke v. Intellex, involved an international contractual dispute.

“The Mock Trial is an important step in equipping our associates with the fundamentals they need to become successful trial lawyers,” said partner Lauren McKenna, Lead Faculty and Co-Chair of Litigation Department Training Program.

Motions were heard on Friday, May 18 by William Stassen, partner in the firm’s Philadelphia office. The trial took place on Saturday, May 19 with Summer Associates serving as jurors.

After the trial, partners Andrew W. Bonekemper, Michael Eidel and Theodore H. Jobes joined McKenna and Stassen in sharing constructive feedback on the presentations. Associates who participated in the program will receive a detailed evaluation on their performance.
