Fox Rothschild Listed Among Top Trademark Firms NationwideMay 10, 2010 – Press Releases
Fox Rothschild’s growing Intellectual Property Practice recently scored another win by being named among the top trademark firms by IP Today. This ranking comes on the heels of several recent attorney acquisitions that have expanded the breadth and depth of services and broadened the geographical reach of the firm’s IP practice.
In the 2010 list of the top trademark firms, Fox Rothschild jumped 15 slots up to #56 from last year’s rank at #71. The listing is comprised of 210 law firms/individuals ranked according to the number of trademark registrations issued in 2009 where the firm or individual is listed as the legal representative on the registration.
“This jump in ranking illustrates what we in the IP practice already know—we are growing and thriving,” said Gerard P. Norton, Ph.D., chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. “Our experience, knowledge and dedication to continually protecting and maximizing our client’s IP assets has helped in this growth. Intellectual Property Partner, Dick Woodbridge has done an excellent job growing the firm’s trademark practice.”
Fox Rothschild has long maintained a goal of strategic expansion aligned with clients’ legal needs across its more than 40 practice areas. The firm’s IP practice has added several experienced attorneys to its ranks in recent months, including partner Janet MacLeod, Ph.D. in the firm’s New York office and partner Robert Sacco in the firm’s West Palm Beach office. In 2009, the firm opened an office in Stamford, CT with significant IP experience in partner Eric Osterberg.
Fox Rothschild’s Intellectual Property Department is currently home to more than 40 attorneys, including a large number with doctoral and other advanced degrees in scientific disciplines. These attorneys bring diverse perspectives, industry knowledge and the technical capabilities needed to maximize IP value – for corporations, hospitals and clients engaged in the pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology and other industries.
