Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Barbara Brigham Denys to the Philadelphia office as an Assistant General Counsel.
“We are thrilled Barbara has joined our risk management team,” said Thomas D. Paradise, Fox’s General Counsel. “She brings an extraordinary wealth of insight from her tenure with the Pennsylvania Office of Disciplinary Counsel. Her background handling attorney ethics and professional liability claims makes her an invaluable resource to us as we manage the firm’s growing national network of more than 800 attorneys.”
In her prior role as Disciplinary Counsel, Denys investigated disciplinary complaints and prosecuted professional conduct violations. She worked closely with investigators and auditors to develop and present facts to hearing committees, the Disciplinary Board and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
She also previously worked in private practice, where she defended lawyers, large law firms and others against commercial liability claims involving breach of contract, fraud, misappropriation of confidential information and trade secrets, professional liability and other matters.
Denys earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Boston College.
