Guildford County Association of Black Lawyers Honors Kimberly Bullock Gatling

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Kimberly Bullock Gatling, who received the Distinguished Advocate Award from the Guilford County Association of Black Lawyers.

This annual award is bestowed to an attorney who “exhibits the highest ethical standards; shows great skill and a commitment to excellence in work; demonstrates a respect and passion for the law; is held in the highest regard by their peers; and is dedicated to the community and the bar through pro bono or volunteer service activities.” They must also have at least 10 years of experience practicing law and be in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.

Gatling, a Registered Patent Attorney and North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Trademarks, focuses her practice on intellectual property prosecution, licensing and litigation, and regularly prosecutes computer software, business method, mechanical and design patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. She is seen as a trusted adviser and valued team member to her clients, providing comprehensive, global advice from a legal and business perspective.

A leader in the community, Gatling serves as Chair of the board of the United Way of Greater Greensboro and Vice-Chair of the board of the Cone Health Foundation, which invests in the development and support of activities, programs and organizations that measurably improve the health of people in the greater Greensboro area.

Gatling has also been involved in and held leadership positions with the Gateway Research Park, American Cancer Society, Jack and Jill of America, Inc., The Links, Incorporated - Greensboro Chapter and Habitat for Humanity.

She earned her J.D. from George Washington University and her B.S., cum laude, in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. She remains active with her alma maters and serves on the Board of Trustees for North Carolina A&T State University.
