Kimberly Bullock Gatling Among NC Bar Association’s Citizen Lawyer Award Winners

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulations Kimberly Bullock Gatling, who was honored among the 2020 Citizen Lawyer Award winners by the North Carolina Bar Association.

The award recognizes “lawyers who provide exemplary public service to their communities” and who “inspire other lawyers to invest their time and talents in service-oriented activities.”

Gatling, a partner at Fox Rothschild and a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Trademarks who was named Fox’s first Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer in June 2020, has a long history of service not only to her clients but also to the community.

She chairs the Board of the United Way of Greater Greensboro and works to ensure that each program and initiative makes a positive impact on the community, focusing on the building blocks of a good quality of life: education, income and health.

Gatling is also Vice Chair of the Cone Health Foundation, which invests in the development and support of activities, programs and organizations that measurably improve the health of people in the greater Greensboro area by expanding access to health care, preventing adolescent pregnancy as well as HIV infection in the community, and improving treatment for substance abuse and mental health disorders.

Additionally, Gatling is on the Board of Trustees for North Carolina A&T State University and has held leadership positions with Habitat for Humanity, the American Cancer Society, Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and The Links, Incorporated, among other organizations.

Through her new leadership role at Fox, Gatling is working to develop and implement programs and policies that support the firm’s goals of increasing and promoting a diverse workforce and inclusive environment at all levels throughout the firm.
