Litigation Pro Robert Elgidely Joins Fox in Miami

Fox Rothschild LLP welcomes Robert F. Elgidely, who joins the firm in Miami as a partner in the Financial Restructuring & Bankruptcy Department.

“Robert’s ability to handle a range of litigation, including disputes involving Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, will be valuable to our clients seeking counsel in these complex matters, particularly those stemming from fraud and financial crimes,” said Steven W. Elgidely is a seasoned litigator who regularly represents court-appointed fiduciaries in connection with Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases stemming from fraud and financial crimes. Elgidely also regularly represents debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees and liquidating trustees.

On the commercial litigation side of his practice, Elgidely prosecutes and defends business, real estate, aviation, admiralty, motor vehicle, sports and entertainment and ERISA/employee benefits disputes. 

Elgidely is a member of the American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida, Broward County Bar Association and Federal Bar Association. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Pace Center for Girls (Broward), a nationally recognized program that provides counseling and resources to at-risk adolescent girls, and frequently serves as co-chair of its Believing in Girls Empowerment Luncheon. Prior to practicing law, Elgidely served in the U.S. Army National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserve.

He earned his LL.M., in Taxation, from the University of Miami, his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law and his B.A. from Siena College.

Elgidely was previously a partner at Genovese Joblove & Battista.
