The Pennsbury school board has reached a tentative agreement on a contract with the district’s support staff. If approved, the deal will guarantee support staff positions will not be outsourced to save money.

According to the board’s solicitor, Jeffrey Sultanik, details of the agreement were presented to the Pennsbury Educational Support Professionals Association (PESPA) last week. The proposed deal was also reviewed by board members in a closed door meeting last week.

Sultanik, who also serves as the governing body’s chief labor negotiator, said that the details of the agreement will not be revealed until PESPA members vote on it. If approved by PESPA, the agreement will be voted on by the school board on at August 29 meeting according to Sultanik.
