Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Marc H. Simon, who was featured on Screen International’s inaugural list of International Insiders in the entertainment industry.
The report, which recognizes “U.S.-based industry heavyweights pulling the international levers for film and television” included Simon in its section on key executives in the industry’s banking and legal sectors. He is noted for being “well versed in structuring studio and independent films” and “a firm believer in the value of a globally minded approach.”
Simon, vice-chair of the firm’s Entertainment & Sports Law Department, serves a wide range of clients in the U.S. and abroad, including film and television companies, financiers, producers, directors, writers, talent and other content providers, as well as digital, gaming and new media companies.
Screen International’s profile of Simon highlights his work on a number of cross-border deals, including his representation of the UK’s Racing Green Pictures and U.S.-based Epic Match Media in the overall agreement for the upcoming Crimean War drama “Seacole” starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Sam Worthington. He is also credited for representing Swedish producer B-Reel in its overseas expansion and negotiation of its deal with A24 to produce, finance and distribute Ari Aster’s summer horror hit “Midsommar;” handling agreement negotiations for Alec Baldwin’s El Dorado Pictures to join as executive producer on Francisca Alegria’s magic-realist family drama “The Cow That Sang A Song About The Future,” produced by Chile’s Jirafa Films; and advising lead producer Atit Shah and Create Entertainment on the France-Spain romance “Remember Me” starring Robert Pattinson and produced by Spain’s Kamel Films, Lazona Producciones and Tornado Films.
Simon has also been named a 2019 Sports & Entertainment Trailblazer by The National Law Journal and featured in Variety’s Legal Impact Report and Dealmakers Elite New York list.
