Steven Zelkowitz Named a Florida Trailblazer by the Daily Business Review

October 3, 2019 – Press Releases

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Steven W. Zelkowitz, who was recognized as a 2019 Florida Trailblazer by the Daily Business Review for his leadership advancing the use of public/private partnerships as a tool for economic and infrastructure development.

This inaugural list highlights “agents of change…who have made significant marks on the practice, policy and technological advancement of their practice.”

Zelkowitz, office managing partner of the firm’s Miami location, recognized the need to offer clients services tailored specifically to the growing public/private partnership niche and subsequently blazed a trail for the firm to meet those needs. He combined his knowledge of government relations with the utilities experience of colleague M. Gray Styers to launch and co-lead the firm’s Infrastructure and Development Practice Group.

Zelkowitz’s dynamic practice spans real estate, finance, government relations, hospitality and public/private partnership transactions. He is recognized as a top real estate attorney by Chambers USA, and has been named among the Power Leaders in Law by the South Florida Business Journal and the Dealmakers of the Year Finalists by the Daily Business Review.

Zelkowitz serves as general and special counsel to a number of community redevelopment agencies in South Florida and is a former councilman for Miami Shores Village.

He earned his J.D. and M.C.R.P. from Rutgers Law School and his B.S. from the University of Massachusetts.
