Triad Business Journal Names Julie Earp Among 2019 Power Players

November 4, 2019 – Press Releases

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Julie Earp, who was named to the 2019 Power Players list by Triad Business Journal.

The annual distinction features leaders in the Triad who are “taking risks and making a lasting impact on the business community.” The Triad focused primarily on those who are impacting economic development, investment, entrepreneurship and the workforce.

As the first female managing partner of the former Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP, Earp was integral in evaluating and deciding to combine the firm with Fox Rothschild LLP in 2018 – a decision that ultimately elevated the 130-lawyer firm to a nationwide platform with “broader legal services and improved technology.”

Earp has more than 25 years of experience handling labor and employment litigation matters. She counsels and trains client in a wide range of areas and venues and has handled employment matters in both federal and state courts, as well as before the EEOC and the state and federal Departments of Labor.

Earp has been ranked by Chambers USA among the leading Labor & Employment attorneys in North Carolina for more than a decade. She was also named among the “50 Most Influential Women” by The Mecklenburg Times, an “Influencer of Law” by The Business Journals, “The Most Admired CEOs” by Triad Business Journal and one of 100 “Women to Watch” by BizWomen.

She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, and her B.B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Georgia.
