Before Fox Rothschild

Roya launched her career at Fox as a summer associate and law clerk. Before joining the firm, she was a legal intern with the Student Honors Program of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Office of International Affairs and a law clerk with the U.S. Department of Commerce's Commercial Law Development Program.

As a law student at the George Washington University Law School, Roya was a student attorney for the Criminal Appeals & Post-Conviction Services Clinic, where she argued before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Roya also served as a notes editor for the Public Contract Law Journal, a member of the Moot Court Board and a writing fellow in the Legal Research and Writing Program.

Before attending law school, Roya participated in a two-year long fellowship program in Yakage, Japan where she taught English as a second language while serving as a coordinator of international relations for the Princeton in Asia fellowship program, a nonprofit organization affiliated with Princeton University.

As an undergraduate student, Roya interned with U.S. Senator Ben Cardin and the U.S. Department of Justice's Office of International Affairs, Criminal Division. She also studied abroad in Istanbul, Turkey.

Roya serves as chapter leader for the Washington, DC Chapter of the Princeton in Asia Alumni Network.
