Biography

Experienced in a wide range of bankruptcy matters, Tom focuses his national practice on representing debtors and official unsecured creditors committees in complex Chapter 11 proceedings.

Tom also counsels secured creditors, trustees, unsecured creditors and debtor-in-possession lenders and represents clients in preference and fraudulent transfer proceedings. Beyond his extensive Chapter 11 experience, he frequently provides opinion letters on commercial transactions and represents parties in matters before the State of Delaware’s Court of Chancery and Superior Court.

Tom writes frequently on bankruptcy topics for the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal and other publications.

Before Fox Rothschild

Tom was a member of Shaw Fishman Glantz & Towbin LLC, which merged with Fox Rothschild in 2018.

Before that, Tom was a partner in the Wilmington office of a national law firm.

Beyond Fox Rothschild

Tom is Executive Editor of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Volo service, which publishes summaries of the most recent bankruptcy appellate decisions.

In his pro bono work, Tom acts as a guardian ad litem through Delaware’s Office of the Child Advocate and represents clients in protection from abuse proceedings through Delaware Volunteer Legal Services. He also sits on the executive committee of the St. Thomas More Society of Wilmington.
