Troy handles a wide range of litigation matters, with a focus on business disputes, class actions and appeals.
Troy has litigated a wide variety of contract disputes, including construction, manufacturing, employment, and lease agreements, as well as insurance coverage disputes. These disputes often include claims for theft of trade secrets and violations of noncompetes. Troy has litigated contract disputes in arbitration and before jurors. Complementing this work, Troy also advises clients on their antitrust obligations and competition concerns for contracts under negotiation.
Complex litigation requires strategic planning from the outset, and that is especially true for class actions. Troy has represented clients facing hundreds of millions of dollars in potential exposure from class actions. The successful defense of these high stakes cases requires carefully framing the dispute at every stage of the case — including discovery, certification, and appeal.
Troy has also handled disputes involving state administrative law and trade regulation. These matters have included jurisdictional disputes between occupational licensing boards, as well as disputes between licensing boards and their licensees.
