The Rise of the Global IPO in Tech-Enabled Companies

Technology companies are taking longer than ever to go public, and the deals that do get done are massive. Meanwhile, absent IPO opportunities, significant liquidity has been added to the private market, creating liquidity constraints for investors when tech IPOs finally do make it to market. As a result, only the biggest players can invest in tech IPOs. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Chris Mayo, head of primary markets for the Americas at the London Stock Exchange, and Jeff Stewart, a managing director at Global Public Offering Fund, discuss how a group of founders, investors and industry professionals are changing the technology IPO landscape through a movement to go public “globally” on exchanges outside the US. The discussion is facilitated by Arina Shulga, a partner at Fox Rothschild.
