Artificial intelligence (AI) is quickly becoming a commonplace technology that helps us navigate our personal and professional lives with greater ease and convenience. Many don’t realize, but AI impacts your everyday life—from ChatGPT, consumer Live Chat, facial recognition that unlocks your phone, or the ETA for your automobile navigation.

This use of AI tools (such as ChatGPT) in our personal lives and the practice of law create different but complicated and constantly changing benefits and concerns. It is hard to overstate how much things will change with the rise of this new technology, or how important it is that we embrace the opportunity to execute it correctly. Attorneys and law firms should be concerned about how these tools are currently and will be used, and ensure that they are used ethically and appropriately. This CLE presentation will address those issues and best practices when using artificial intelligence in the practice of law.
