Construction Partner John Marshall Cook Joins Fox Rothschild in DC
Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome John Marshall Cook to its Washington, DC office as a partner in the Construction Practice.
“John provides sophisticated guidance to both domestic and international construction contractors and government contractors that are navigating complex projects and the myriad issues and disputes that may arise,” said Reggie Jones, Fox’s DC office managing partner. “We are thrilled to welcome him to our growing team in the DC office.”
Cook represents clients through all phases of the construction process, from project inception through dispute resolution. His extensive knowledge covers the full range of complex construction issues, particularly cost and schedule analysis related to delay, disruption, inefficiency and acceleration claims. He has extensive experience with large industrial, manufacturing and civil works projects.
Government contractors rely on Cook’s experience and insight to navigate and resolve protests, claims and disputes with federal and state agencies and departments as well as with prime and subcontractors. He also advises contractors on compliance with a broad range of federal regulations.
As a seasoned litigator, Cook has resolved multiple disputes in federal and state courts and before administrative tribunals, as well as through negotiation, mediation and domestic and international arbitration. He has led litigation teams in disputes related to a wide variety of projects, including various power plants, a TNT plant, refineries, data centers, chemical demilitarization plants, ammunition plants and food processing facilities.
Prior to joining Fox, Cook was a member of a boutique construction and federal government contracts firm for 28 years. He earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and B.A. from Haverford College.
