Philadelphia Business Journal Selects Craig Finger as Dealmaker of the Year Honoree
Fox Rothschild congratulates Craig L. Finger, who was honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of its Dealmakers of the Year in recognition of his leadership in major real estate transactions within the region.
The annual Best Real Estate Deals program spotlights the area’s most impactful transactions and the dealmakers whose work is shaping the Greater Philadelphia real estate market.
The Philadelphia Business Journal noted Finger’s role leading the expedited sale of the University of the Arts’ real estate portfolio, one of area’s most complex and time‑sensitive distressed property transactions of 2025. The school shut its doors in 2024 and filed a Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation, creating acquisition opportunities all along Broad Street and around Center City. Finger served as special real estate counsel to the court-appointed bankruptcy trustee and helped convert nine vacant institutional properties into more than $74 million in sale proceeds in less than six months. The Philadelphia Business Journal also named the University of the Arts properties as the Deal of the Year in the higher education sector.
A partner in the Real Estate Department, Finger represents clients in a wide variety of real estate acquisition, development and financing transactions, construction lending matters, and industrial leasing transactions. He is former Chair of the nationwide Department.
