The Basics of Health Professional and Health Care Facility Licensure in Pennsylvania will discuss the who’s who and what’s what of professional and facilities licensure in Pennsylvania.  This course will go over the various licensing agencies and license types for Pennsylvania health care professionals and facilities and provide an overview of the licensure process and applicable legal resources.

Medicare/Medicaid Fraud and Abuse

This introductory session will provide an overview of the federal fraud and abuse laws that are critical to know about and navigate in connection with virtually any transaction or business arrangement involving participants in the health care industry.  Attendees of this session will learn about the Big 3 fraud and abuse laws – i.e., the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law and the False Claims Act – and more, including practical tips for issue-spotting and counseling clients to avoid regulatory compliance issues.
