Brett Berman and Eleanor Gerhards Selected to 2018 'Lawyers on the Fast Track' List

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Brett Berman and Eleanor Vaida Gerhards, who were honored by The Legal Intelligencer as 2018 “Lawyers on the Fast Track.”

This annual list profiles top young attorneys throughout Pennsylvania based on their contributions to the legal community through advancement of the law and leadership and pro bono efforts.

Berman and Gerhards were among 30 attorneys selected statewide for this year’s award.

A partner at Fox, Berman handles an array commercial and business litigation matters. He frequently represents clients in multimillion-dollar cases related to shareholder disputes and construction and real estate litigation, including construction defects, violations of the Condominium Act and breaches of fiduciary duties by board members.

Berman also has created a noteworthy niche practice representing taxi and transportation providers in litigation.

He earned his J.D. and M.B.A. simultaneously from Rutgers University. He is a former legislative and government Fellow of the prestigious Eagleton Institute of Politics.

A partner in the firm and co-chair of Fox’s Franchising & Distribution Practice Group, Gerhards leads a team of more than 40 attorneys in 21 offices across the United States who represent franchise and distribution companies in industrial, retail, food, entertainment, service, technology and home-based businesses.

She currently chairs the International Franchise Association (IFA) Philadelphia Women’s Franchise Network and serves on the American Bar Association’s Forum on Franchising Program Steering Committee. She is also a Certified Franchise Executive, a designation received from the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives, an academic branch of the IFA’s Educational Foundation.

Gerhards was also recently named in Philadelphia Business Journal’s 40 under 40 List, is recognized as a Franchise Legal Eagle by Franchise Times Magazine (2016, 2017, 2018) and was named to Super Lawyers’ 2017 “Rising Stars” list. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Duquesne University.
