No sector of the economy has been more impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic than the health care industry. Before the pandemic, the health care industry was experiencing one of the most significant periods of enforcement in American history. With the opportunity that the pandemic created for fraud, the largest enforcement boom may still be yet to come.

In this session, Matthew S. Adams, Co-Chair of Fox Rothschild’s White-Collar Criminal Defense & Regulatory Compliance Practice Group, and Jessica Hollobaugh, CPA/ABV, CFE, Partner and Market Leader of Withum’s Forensics, Investigations, and White-Collar Criminal Defense Team, will explore how the pre-pandemic health care enforcement landscape was altered by the pandemic and what to expect from the Department of Justice as things slowly return to normal.

Attendees will be able to:

  • Identify pre-pandemic criminal, civil and regulatory enforcement trends in the health care space.
  • Prepare for what is to come in the health care space in light of the obvious impact of the pandemic.
  • Apply best practices when individuals and entities in the health care space find themselves in the crosshairs of the government.
