The FIRRMA Amendments to CFIUS – Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) administers national security oversight over foreign investment in the United States, including mergers with and investments in U.S. businesses. The 2018 FIRRMA amendments, which took effect in February 2020, significantly broadened the scope of transactions that fall within CFIUS oversight and expanded the filing requirements with CFIUS.
