The TRUMP America AI Act is one of the most expansive federal AI legislative proposal to date and signals a major shift toward enforceable AI governance in the United States. Introduced on March 18, 2026, the bill proposes new liability standards for AI systems, mandatory third‑party audits, expanded intellectual property protections, and the sunsetting of Section 230. It was followed on March 20, 2026, by the White House AI Framework which echoes some aspects of the AI bill but changes others.

In this session, we’ll break down the provisions that matter most for organizations building or using AI, compare them to what is already in place under existing laws and enforcement and discuss how teams should begin preparing if this framework moves forward.

What You’ll Learn:

  • What are the existing AI frameworks guiding AI risk, accountability, and deployment
  • How the bill would reshape AI liability, risk, and accountability for developers and deployers
  • New audit, disclosure, and ethics training requirements that could apply to AI systems
  • What proposed changes to IP, content moderation, and children’s protections tell us about effective AI governance strategies
  • How privacy, risk, legal, and compliance teams can operationalize requirements routinely
