Indiana and Tennessee have joined the U.S. Privacy landscape as the seventh and eighth states to enact a comprehensive privacy law. Montana, Florida and Texas also have privacy bills in the last stages of the legislative process.

In line with existing US State privacy legislation, these pieces of legislation introduce requirements governing the collection, use, sale and sharing of consumer data and establish consumer data rights.
