Fox Rothschild’s Intellectual Property Department was ranked in Patexia’s 2026 Patent Litigation Report as a Top 50 patent litigation firm.

Patexia independently evaluates patent litigation cases to identify the “top attorneys and law firms for patent litigation based on their activity and performance before the district courts.” The 2026 report draws on data collected between July 2020 and June 2025, including 18,352 district court patent cases and 17,811 unique patents.

Comprised of more than 70 attorneys nationwide, Fox’s IP Department includes numerous individuals with doctoral degrees in sciences and engineering, former USPTO examiners, former university and industry researchers, and individuals who were in-house attorneys and corporate engineers.

The team handles the complete range of patent law matters, including domestic and foreign patent prosecution, corporate due diligence, opinions on patent invalidity and noninfringement, and design-around strategies to help avoid risks.
